Faith, Family and Excellence

We invite you to come to our school and meet us. You will experience a school community committed to academic excellence. We promote the importance of living out our Catholic values and and a dedication to excellence in our students.

  1. Visit SEAS

If you are interested in a school tour please call the school office directly to schedule a personal tour. We also have an annual School Open House the beginning of February, a family event where interested families can visit the classroom and meet the teachers and staff.

We also provide classroom observations for all grades. Please inquire at the school office if you are interested in scheduling a time to observe a class.  We love visitors!

School Tours are available Monday – Friday from 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.

ADMISSION POLICIES

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available at our school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and all other school-administered programs.

As a private Catholic school, SEAS advocates for, cherishes, and wishes for the best educational opportunities for all children. However, due to size limitations SEAS has established the following admissions priorities for the school:

  1. Students presently attending SEAS.

  2. Siblings of students who have attended SEAS for at least four months of the prior school year.

  3. Students from families registered in the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.

  4. Students from families registered at other Catholic parishes.

  5. All other students.

ADMISSION PROCESS FOR KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten students must be five years of age on or before September 1st of the school year being applied for. Prior to enrollment, student must be assessed by the kindergarten teacher for readiness skills, both physical and academic.

If there are more applicants than can be accommodated, the prioritized enrollment policy (above) will be followed.

The parent can choose to keep the application active for openings during the year and/or carried over to the following school year.

NEW STUDENTS

All new students must meet with their child's classroom teacher for a readiness assessment and will be on a 30-day probationary period. A conference will be scheduled between the parents, student, teacher, and administration to determine if both the student and the school benefit from the student’s placement at SEAS.

Prior to admission of a transferring student, all requested records of the student must be received and reviewed by the school staff. A recommendation from the family’s pastor or other reference may be requested. An interview between the parents, the principal, and teacher as well as an assessment between a teacher and student will be scheduled prior to admission.

The principal may allow a student to attend classes pre-interview/assessment if meetings cannot be scheduled in a timely manner and everything points to successful enrollment (example: students records have been forwarded from another state or county and recommendations are in place but child and/or parent are en route to Anchorage).

WAITING LIST

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School has only one class at each grade level from Pre-K through sixth.

The school is usually at capacity, but there are often changes such as families that move away during the school year, which opens up some space for new students.

A waiting list is maintained which is used to fill vacancies.

A deposit of $50 is required to place a child on the waiting list.

Lumen Christi Catholic High School

SEAS is pleased to partner with Lumen Christi Catholic High School to foster a Pre-K through twelfth grade Catholic education continuum for families.

Since 1996, Lumen Christi has provided a rigorous Catholic education in a Christ-like environment in grades 7-12.

Many SEAS students choose to continue their moral, mental, and physical development and Catholic education at Lumen upon graduation from the sixth grade.

These connections begin while still at SEAS, with fifth and sixth graders being able to participate on Lumen junior high competitive soccer, volleyball, and basketball athletic teams.

Additionally, Lumen Christi provides tuition discounts for families with children attending both schools as well as a daily bus service to and from SEAS. In every sense, we are proudly "one school, two buildings."

Autopay and Discounts

Discounts are available for families with multiple students attending SEAS.

Autopay and online payments are accepted through the FACTS website.
When paying with a credit card an additional 3% fee is included which offsets credit card fees.

Use "SEAS-AK" for the district code when logging in.

Tuition Assistance Program

The Tuition Assistance Program helps navigate financial barriers for families seeking to enroll their child at SEAS.

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School has selected FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment to determine the level of finance assistance for the family/student.

The information provided on the form along with copies of the applicant’s federal income tax form and W2 forms will be used to determine the level of financial assistance for the family/student. For a family to be eligible for tuition assistance, they must complete the tuition assistance application (click link below), provide all required information, and pay the application fee.

The amount of tuition assistance available will depend on the level of funding in the Assistance Fund.

Financial assistance is not automatically renewed each year: Families must reapply each year.
