Step One: Visit Our School
Contact the Principal – Interested parents are highly encouraged to call the Principal directly to schedule a meeting and personal tour. We also have an annual School Open House, a family event where interested families can visit the classroom and meet the teachers and staff.
Classroom observations for all grades are encouraged. Please speak directly with a teacher to schedule a time to observe a classroom. We love visitors!
Step Two: Submit an Application
Applications will be accepted beginning in January of the current school year.
Pre-Kindergarten students should be four (4) years of age on or before September 1st of the school year being applied for.
Kindergarten students should be five (5) years of age on or before September 1st of the school year being applied for and must be assessed by the kindergarten teacher prior to admission. Students who will turn 5 after September 1st may be considered for admission pending an individual assessment by the Principal and Kindergarten teacher. There is a non-refundable (one time) registration fee of $200 for each registering student of a family new to the school.
The preferred class size is 25 students for each K-6 grade. The maximum amount of students in the Pre-Kindgergarten program is 20.

• Open to all registrants on the first of April.
• All new students must meet with the classroom teacher for a readiness assessment.

Admission to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School is a private Catholic School. While we advocate for and cherish all children, we are limited in size and what we are able to do for all children. For this reason, we categorize students for admissions in the following order:
1. students presently attending Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School;
2. siblings of students who have attended Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton for at least 4 months of the prior school year;
3. students from families registered in the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish;
4. students from families registered in other Catholic Parishes; and finally,
5. all other students.
Admission Process for Kindergarten
Kindergarten students – must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of the school year being applied for and must be assessed by the kindergarten teacher for readiness skills, both physical and academic, prior to enrollment.
If there are more applicants than can be accommodated, the prioritized enrollment policy (above) will be followed.
The parent can choose to keep the application active for openings during the year and/or carried over to the following school year.
New students will be on probation for a 30-day period. A conference will be scheduled between the parents, student, teacher and administration to determine if both the student and the school benefit from the student’s placement at our school.
Prior to admission of a transferring student, all requested records of the student must be received and reviewed by the school staff . A recommendation from the family’s pastor or other reference may be requested. An interview between the parents, the principal and teacher as well as an assessment between a teacher and student will be scheduled prior to admission.
The principal may allow a student to attend classes pre-interview/assessment if meetings cannot be scheduled in a timely manner and everything points to successful enrollment. (example: students records have been forwarded from another state or county and recommendations are in place but child and/or parent are en route to Anchorage).
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton School has only one class at each grade level from Kindergarten through Grade 6. All grades are limited to 25 students. The school is usually filled, but there are often families that move away during the school year, which opens up some room for new students. A waiting list is maintained which is used to fill vacancies. A deposit of $200 is required to place a child on the waiting list.
